Michael D. Rust, J.D. is the Chief Executive Officer of the Winnebago Conflict Resolution Center, Inc.  Mr. Rust has performed more than two thousand mediations, trained hundreds of mediators, and spoken to thousands.

He has mediated a wide variety of cases: from multi-million dollar business cases, real estate controversies, and motor-vehicle accidents to adult and minor guardianship cases, restraining orders, and divorce mediations. This breadth and depth of experience allows him to handle matters, whether high-conflict, highly emotional, or strictly business, in a respectful and effective manner. Mr. Rust is a roster mediator of the Wisconsin Special Education Mediation System, and former Mediation Partner thereof, and a roster mediator of the Eastern District of Wisconsin Bankruptcy Court Mortgage Modification Mediation program.

He is also the Past-President of the Association for Conflict Resolution, an international professional organization for people in the conflict resolution field. Mr. Rust is the 2016 President's Award recipient from the Wisconsin Association of Mediators (now known as ACR-Wisconsin), a 2019 Beacon Award (Outstanding Alumni) recipient from Carthage College, and You Make a Difference Award recipient from the Winnebago Collaborations Workgroup.  He was the first person to serve as the President of the Wisconsin Association of Mediators and the Chair of the Dispute Resolution Section of the State Bar of Wisconsin, and he did so at the same time. He has also received recognition by the American Bar Association and the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris, France, for his work in mediation.
